Why does the stainless steel mesh belt break soon?
Author:
The stainless steel mesh belt is generally preliminarily split after 8 weeks of operation due to nitriding and carbonization. Taking the traditional 314 stainless steel mesh belt as an example, it is usually used for tempering and preheating, that is, under normal conditions in 870 ° C for 28 hours, then switch to N2-3% H2, and then maintain the temperature for 2 hours Then, gradually increase the temperature to 1120 ° C and hold the temperature for 8 hours within 14 hours, and then sinter the part. At this moment, the air contains about 3 ppm of oxygen, and the dew point is about -55 ° C. (That is, containing about 20 ppm of water vapor). But after about 8 weeks, the band was initially split. This is because the thin chromium oxide layer on the surface of stainless steel is oxidized in the preheating zone and becomes recoverable after entering the high temperature zone. Therefore, the surface oxides are restored. Change back to oxidizing, re-oxidize the mesh belt, this oxidation and recovery cycle will cause data damage.
In addition, the stainless steel mesh belt in the high temperature area due to the decomposition of graphite and lubricant in the parts will cause CO, causing carburization, this CO reacts with Cr in the stainless steel mesh belt to form chromium carbide, and nitrogen in the air will also react with chromium Reaction into chromium nitride, these two compounds are both hard and brittle compounds, making the stainless steel mesh belt life shrink.
